The Financial Services Consultant supports community bank core conversions, system optimization, and related project work. This role works closely with bank stakeholders and internal BTP leadership to deliver structured, high-quality outcomes aligned with client agreements and project plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support community bank core conversions with a primary focus on Fiserv Premier and related Fiserv platforms.
  • Map, validate, reconcile, and analyze data between legacy and target systems using Fiserv provided tools and industry best practices.
  • Partner directly with community bank operations, IT, lending, deposit operations, and executive leadership teams to identify and resolve operational and system challenges.
  • Assist with conversion planning, data cleanup, testing cycles, issue tracking, user acceptance testing, and go live activities.
  • Support project coordination and project management activities in alignment with client Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), project plans, and timelines.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, Fiserv, and third-party vendors to facilitate communication, issue resolution, and successful project execution.
  • Help financial institutions maximize the value of their technology investments through system optimization, process improvement, and operational best practices.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, business requirements, testing scripts, procedures, meeting notes, training materials, and workflow diagrams.
  • Support software implementations, enhancement projects, operational reviews, and strategic consulting engagements.
  • Track project risks, issues, action items, and milestones while providing regular status updates to clients and internal leadership.
  • Participate in client meetings, onsite workshops, training sessions, and go live support activities as needed.
  • Travel periodically to client sites throughout the United States.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative and consulting duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands on experience with Fiserv Premier or other Fiserv core and ancillary products.
  • Prior experience with core conversions, software implementations, data mapping, system integrations, or banking technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of community bank operations, including deposit operations, customer service, lending, payments, or related areas.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a client facing consulting role while collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a remote first environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and project management tools.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Fiserv Premier conversions or implementations.
  • Experience working for a community bank, credit union, banking technology provider, or consulting firm.
  • Project management experience leading or supporting technology and operational initiatives.
  • PMP, CAPM, AAP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, operational risk management, and audit processes.
  • Experience with process improvement, business analysis, testing management, or vendor management.
